About the World Kabbalah Organization

The World Kabbalah Organization is a collective of Mekubalim (Kabbalists), rabbis, traditional scholars, and academic researchers dedicated to the serious study of Kabbalah within its authentic Jewish context.

Our members represent a range of backgrounds — from traditional houses of Torah learning and rabbinic scholarship to academic research in Jewish mysticism. Despite these different paths, we share a common commitment: to approach Kabbalah with intellectual integrity, historical awareness, and a deep spiritual and religious consciousness of God.

Kabbalah developed within the life of the Jewish people and has always been intertwined with the broader framework of Jewish faith, law, and spiritual practice. Yet in recent generations the term Kabbalah has frequently been taken out of its historical and religious context. In many cases it has been simplified, commercialized, or presented in ways that detach it from Judaism and from the spiritual awareness of God that stands at its foundation. As a result, important terminology and concepts have often been misunderstood or redefined.

The World Kabbalah Organization was established in response to this situation.

By bringing together traditional scholars and academic researchers, the organization seeks to help restore clarity and balance to the study of Kabbalah. Through careful engagement with classical sources, historical scholarship, and the teachings preserved by generations of Mekubalim, we aim to place the study of Kabbalah back within its original intellectual, spiritual, and religious framework.

Working together with educational institutions and partners around the world, the organization also supports open access to reliable information, accurate terminology, and authentic study materials drawn from the classical literature of Jewish mysticism.

Our work is guided by a simple principle:

ארגון הקבלה העולמי הוא קבוצה של מקובלים, רבנים, תלמידי חכמים וחוקרים אקדמיים העוסקים בלימוד ובחקר הקבלה מתוך מחויבות למסגרתה האותנטית במסורת ישראל.

חברי הארגון מגיעים מרקעים שונים — מבתי מדרש מסורתיים, מן העולם הרבני ומתחום המחקר האקדמי של המיסטיקה היהודית. למרות דרכי הלימוד השונות, כולנו שותפים למחויבות משותפת: לעסוק בקבלה מתוך יושר אינטלקטואלי, מודעות היסטורית ותודעה רוחנית ודתית עמוקה של נוכחות ה׳.

הקבלה התפתחה בתוך חיי הרוח של עם ישראל והייתה תמיד קשורה למסגרת הרחבה של האמונה, ההלכה והעבודה הרוחנית היהודית. אולם בדורות האחרונים הוצא המושג “קבלה” פעמים רבות מהקשרו ההיסטורי והדתי. לעיתים הוצגה הקבלה בצורה פשטנית, מסחרית או מנותקת מן היהדות ומתודעת האל העומדת ביסודה. כתוצאה מכך השתבשו לעיתים משמעותם של מושגים ומונחים מרכזיים.

ארגון הקבלה העולמי קם על רקע מציאות זו.

באמצעות שיתוף פעולה בין תלמידי חכמים וחוקרים אקדמיים מבקש הארגון להשיב בהירות ואיזון ללימוד הקבלה. תוך עיון מדויק במקורות הקלאסיים, במחקר ההיסטורי ובמסורות הלימוד שהועברו מדור לדור על ידי המקובלים, אנו שואפים להחזיר את לימוד הקבלה להקשרו האינטלקטואלי, הרוחני והדתי המקורי.

ביחד עם מוסדות חינוך ושותפים ברחבי העולם פועל הארגון גם להנגשת מידע אמין, מינוח מדויק וחומרי לימוד אותנטיים המבוססים על ספרות המיסטיקה היהודית הקלאסית.
